Trump exempting computers & phones from the tariffs today means that Chinese-made laptops now have lower tariffs than European Cars, Mexican Steel, & Canadian Lumber.
Also means Vietnamese-made laptops have a lower tariff than Ethiopian coffee, Indian tea, & Guatemalan bananas

If Xi was smart he would slap an export tax on Chinese made iPhones.
But are all of these merely proposed tariffs, or ones that are actually in effect?
They forgot Printers, Projectors. Modems, Routers, Monitors, Mice, Docking stations, keyboard etc., etc., etc... Am sure they will amend their list by Monday. So embarrassing
Printers will once again cost more than PCs, like in the 1980s
