- So, a lot of this hinges on how you read “a standoff with DOGE.” Based on how I read it, there’s a substantive difference, but based on how a lot of other people read it, it’s more of a pedantic difference. In conclusion, “a standoff with doge” is a land of contrasts.

- So, two points: (1) There wasn’t the same kind of stand off we saw with the US Institute of Peace. Rather, they were turned away at the door. (2) this wasn’t DOGE. It was appointees (both from DOJ) to replace the fired personnel - both who (via the verge) come from the anti tech end of MAGA.
