- This record really does rule. Reminds me a whole lot of Hardy Morris’s work from about 15 years ago in his great band Dead Confederate and the supergroup Diamond Rugs. Country rock without any genre trappings or cliches, great songs, ripping/psychedelic guitar playing, it just rocks.
- Sweet, I’ve got a pretty big pile of CDs that arrived while I was out of town that I get to dig into.
- WXYC in Chapel Hill is one of the most reliably great radio stations around. Just gave me a dose of Hoodoo Gurus and then Dick Diver. Peak college radio performance.

- We started a rewatch of the Flight of the Conchords series. I was worried the humor might not hold up, I guess because of the era it’s from, but it’s v funny still imo. The low budget aspect is charming, and it does a good job with the trope where everyone lowkey treats everyone else like shit.

- Really been enjoying Takuro Okada’s latest album recently. Blurs the line between jazz and ambient, all types of interwoven guitar textures, quite beautiful and engaging.
