- I am not in the bottom 60% but in the past two months alone I have incurred $1000 in dental bills, $1500 in car maintenance, and a $650 vet bill for a sick cat. I have no idea how anyone else manages this.
- I sense a deep feeling among students, fellow faculty, everyone I know in general, that whatever we're currently doing right now, we'd rather be doing something else. Everything is an inconvenience. That feeling, whatever its source, is really screwing everything up.
- I ask my Torts students to articulate "theories of wrongness" in each case they read. What are our leading theories of wrongness for AI/LLM use? Taxes natural resources and infrastructure, low quality end product, incongruence between advertising and capabilities, undercuts educational process...

- Imagine how much spy tech is on that Qatari jet. Emoluments aside it has to be the single biggest security risk in presidential history, right?
- The University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law class of 2025 has now been commenced.
- And as always, the trend lines change direction right around the time Reagan takes office.
- A lot to chew on. www.npr.org/2025/05/09/g...
- And video of him giving the speech: youtu.be/eCxaDwOCXD8?...
- Souter was also humbly candid when he changed his mind on something or thought he had been wrong before, like in the nude dancing case Erie v Pap’s AM. Souter decided actually cities should have to prove the “secondary effects” their nude dancing bans were supposedly passed to prevent.
- It is my great honor to have been chosen to serve as the Lesser Marshal at our upcoming commencement ceremony. The Grand Marshal leads the students into their seats and onto the stage. The Lesser Marshal brings up the ass end of the line, the job I was truly called to the academy to do.
