- Passed a food truck with a weird font, and I thought at first glance the truck was called “Taco Juice.” And I know I mis-read the name, because taco juice sounds horrifying. But I also spent way too long really thinking about it, and leaning toward, “maybe just once…just to see…” 🤔

- The thing about setting books in Michigan is that people outside of Michigan will tell you a local restaurant chain named José Babushka’s is too unbelievable, but they’re been right there in Grand Rapids serving tacos and pierogi since 1981 🤷
- That said, does anyone need a critique or positivity pass on a query letter, synopsis, or first chapters? I can do a few this weekend to celebrate going on sub before kicking off the next project!
- Now that Punch Drunk Magic is on sub, I finally get to turn to the secret project I’ve been putting off for years for being too ambitious. And all I’m going to say is that the vibe is The Golden Girls meets Dexter, and I promise hijinks, HRT, and dead billionaires.
- Is there one of those cool compound German words for that moment of clarity you get standing on your bathroom rug after a shower, dripping, realizing every towel you own is currently spinning in the washing machine? Seems like the kind of thing there should be a word for.
