I love him because there is something deeply profound about the most powerful force in the universe also being the kindest and most compassionate.

I love him because he could force his way to have anything and anyone he wants but what he wants is to be good at his job and so he gets coffee for Lois Lane just so he can learn from the best.

I love him because even as we all see him as an unstoppable god, he feels every loss, and every person he couldn't save and that makes him the most vulnerable superhero in the world.

I love him because he can save people with his strength and speed but he also talks to them and listens to them and believes in them.

And I love him because he isn't cool. He's goofy and sweet and charming and nerdy and when asked who he is he simply says "a friend". And he's my friend. Honestly, I don't know where I'd be without him. Happy Superman day everyone ❤️
