- This is super experimental ... I took the IPFS Service Worker gateway and modified it so that it loads websites via my 3 IPFS servers via verified fetch / trustless gateways and IPNS/dnslink. Here's my test site: 6kgvdnw3nwza.seahex.org
- I’m sure after they finish rounding up all the immigrants, the agents will all retire and get jobs in agriculture or factories or something.

- Reposted by Jim PickIt's too easy to censor scientific data. We should decentralize scientific data somewhat. I'm building a simple tool for censorship-resistant data archiving. It uses the same tech as Bluesky. github.com/gordonbrande...

- Reposted by Jim PickI have succeeded in the first step to create my own Bluesky mirror! - Private PDS - Private Relay - Private AppView backend (mirror of Bluesky) This is almost completely vanilla and I will be optimizing and customizing it.

- I've been working on a project for a client for the past 2.5 weeks and I haven't touched @hex.camp ... I just checked it, and everything is still running! Even though the DNS runs on multiple AWS spot instances, my "repair" process appears to be doing the correct thing.
- Reposted by Jim PickWe've been given an amazing opportunity with our round of funding to build out the next generation of the social web. Today, we're starting an experiment in paying that forward. Introducing Graze Grants, a project to help get other ATProto projects off the ground.

- Just an observation on the internal workings of my brain ... I'm watching an old presentation with slides that have AI generated imagery, and my brain is just like "AI Slop" and just completely disregards it. It doesn't work as a visual assist at all.
- Reposted by Jim PickSecond in the #groundmist series - #localfirst + ATProto I’m actively using the local first essay editor (using @inkandswitch.com Automerge + tiny essay editor) - I can login with my ATProto account and work on private drafts and then publish to @whtwnd.com.
- Reposted by Jim Pickobviously i’m personally a vc-funded billionaire and megacorp to do this. I’m super-funded on github sponsors and setting those Big Bucks on fire! $30 CAD/mo for this!!! in this economy!!!!
- full-scale indie atproto relay is live and public! get yer non-bluesky-owned firehose here! relay.fire.hose.cam jetstream soon, i’ve just done enough nginx iptables for one day.
- Still iterating on my 3 node IPFS + IPFS Cluster setup. I was able to publish via a GitHub Action, but it's only getting stored on 1 of 3 machines. I didn't set up dialable addresses on the IPFS machines ... I think I'll do that. I've got them configured in NoFetch mode too.

- I did a little experiment to see if I could use the new IPFS Verified Fetch feature with the 3 nodes in my cluster. Seems to be working! codepen.io/jimpick/pen/...
- Voted. No line. At Parachute Ice Cream. Line.
- I've got the data for this site pinned on my 3 IPFS servers (using IPFS Cluster), and there are 3 DNS records pointing at each server. 6kgvdnw3nwza.seahex.org

- Figured out why my test PDS instances weren't being crawled. Last week, when I set up Knative on that server, I changed the ingress from Traefik to Contour, but with Contour, the default is no websockets. Pretty easy to turn it back on and they are live again.

- It's hard to follow political events in the US ... it's clear that things are going to get a whole lot worse before they get better. Looks like I can vote early in the Canadian election tomorrow. Going to vote NDP because I don't think the Conservatives are a threat in Esquimalt-Saanich-Sooke.
