  • It really is funny that every US Anglican-adjacent denomination aside from the mainstream Episcopal church has been pretty much taken over by MAGA nutcases, and then the regular Episcopalians are straight up resistlibs.

  • The best part about following Will Stancil is that regardless of whether you agree with a given take, his replies just farm blockable accounts all day. Probably over half of the people I block on this site have come from the comments on Stancil posts. Just the absolute worst scum on Bluesky.
    • Related: the people running this website really need to get a handle on the people constantly sending Will Stancil death threats. It’s a real canary in the coal mine for all the other users on here and it has to stop immediately.

  • This is a guy who argues with his nutcase MAGA sister-in-law on Facebook. Truly a Pope for the internet age.
    • It's also just incredibly funny to imagine the Pope shooting the breeze with his brothers over how bad the White Sox are going to be this year. Like, anyone who makes it to the papacy is going to have lived a...unique life, but this one feels starkly relatable as an American, and it's very weird.

    • I just think it’s hilarious that people went to college with the Pope. “What’s Ken up to these days? Partner at a law firm outside Pittsburgh, that’s nice. And Bob? Oh, he’s the Pope.”

  • Turns out that when you base essentially your entire case for becoming president on the idea that there's an ongoing invasion by murderous criminals and only mass deportations can solve the problem, your voters expect you to produce said criminals. Now they're just going after anyone they can.
    • They’re lashing out against Habeas and arresting Mayors because they know their position is weak and getting weaker, and they’re panicking. It’s scary to live through, but it’s less scary when you remember this isn’t coming from a position of strength, it’s sweaty desperation.
