- Currently reporting on actual law enforcement officers with taxpayer-funded jobs who, in fact, have less training than most militia-style members. A $20 jacket would be an upgrade.

- Just to remind people, this is a county sheriff's office, last year.
- It's obviously "not all parents" -- I'm currently reporting on many parents who desperately want to be at home, but they are offered prison and jail instead.
- There is a deep USian desire to see law enforcement violence as coming from the outside, rather than the inside, where it has always festered. I've warned for years that the goal was an occupying army that will impact everyone. Lots of people already know what it looks like; now we all will.
- They're pulling guys from an assortment of agencies (DEA, ATF, FBI, etc) and grabbing whatever uniform patches/tactical gear they have laying around. Willing to bet a number of them haven't seen street action in a while but they worked at other LE agencies before going fed (standard hiring path)
