- Food in America has gotten so much better in my lifetime. The only "ethnic" food we ate as kids was white person taco night. Now even my small Midwestern town has decent Japanese, Korean, Indian, Mediterranean, Mexican, Chinese, Vietnamese, and Thai restaurants.
