Apr 27, 2025 18:55It wasn't actually cancelled, strictly speaking. It was a 3 part mini series. But it was a 3 part mini series on the scifi channel, at the height of their popularity, when they were clearly running a bunch of experiments to see what would succeed Battlestar Galactica.
The answer, as we now know, was nothing. They basically invented modern prestige television. Instead of doing anything with that, they became syfy and devolved into some shitty pink slime media dispenser.
