I am an advocate in the United States for infrastructure & transportation improvements which will save lives, for not just for the drivers of motor vehicles, but also the most vulnerable road users such as bicyclists, pedestrians and the disabled.
- I'm glad to see this bill heading toward passage. It was unfortunate similar legislation did not pass in Arizona or Maryland. A federal law requiring vehicles to have ISA would be better. My 20-year-old daughter Robyn was killed bicycling. Speed was a factor with the box truck driver who hit them.
- Good for the NYC bicyclists!
- Cyclists have launched a class action lawsuit against the NYPD for wrongfully ticketing riders going with the walk sign — a practice that has become worse now that cops are giving out criminal summonses. nyc.streetsblog.org/2025/05/12/c...
- As I know from the death of my daughter Robyn in a underride crash, almost 6 years ago, anniversaries like this are hard. For Marianne & Jerry Karth, May 4th, 2025 marks 12 years. "Remembering AnnaLeah & Mary... lest our memories grow dim and their joie de vivre no longer brightens our lives."
- Worth the read...
- Bloomberg News has won the 2025 Pulitzer Prize for Criticism for a collection of essays by contributor @langealexandra.bsky.social. The series published in Bloomberg CityLab explores how urban design and architecture impact parents and kids 🧵
- Another sign that Elon Musk is feeling a financial pitch. No sympathy from me!
