- My paper on “The Ethics of Responding to Democratic Backsliding Abroad” is now out in AJPS (open access). It defends “a responsibility-based approach” that emphasises the challenges that backsliding poses to the fulfilment of global responsibilities. onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/...

- Yesterday, Germany decided to increase borrowing to fund defence. In my paper on borrowing, I argue this approach is wrongheaded for intergenerational justice. TDLR: young and future generations will have much to handle, given climate change and rising authoritarianism—this is unfair on them.

- Just read a really interesting methods paper on the need for political phil to meet robustness conditions. A lot seems commonsensical, and already being done by people in the field, but the first time I've seen it so clearly spelled out in this way. Very helpful. www.cambridge.org/core/journal...
