- As a caveat: The formal stuff is extremely simplisitic (just preparing teaching and I haven't thought about this before -- so don't really have anything more interesting to say at this point)
- On Q4, I'd recommend perusing the classics on the theory of self-enforcing democracy, starting with @adamprz.bsky.social (1991, chapter 1), Przeworski, Rivero, and Xi (2015), and @jfearon.bsky.social (2011, QJE).
