- Update: Yesterday after court, I called @duckworth.senate.gov's office. A staffer told me that whilst the Senator "personally supports trans rights," she feels that "bipartisan requires" that she meet with these transphobes in order to "start a dialogue towards a compromise."

- I genuinely don't think good counter-messaging on trans rights is all that difficult. There are Democrats who aren't doing it not because coming up with it is hard but because they agree with the Republicans and want to disguise their disdain for trans people as a matter of political strategy.
