- Reposted by ImDavidDunnIt's pretty funny Trump and his team did not realize that imposing a trade embargo on ourselves would initially be a minor annoyance for urban liberal professionals like me but a catastrophe for rural conservatives who transport goods for a living. They really have no idea how anything works.
- This is at once obvious, but an important insight. Trump was willing to destroy the global economy bc he didn't consider his rubes to be included among the targets. (Even though he was lecturing them that their daughters could make do with just two dolls.) www.washingtonpost.com/business/202...
- Reposted by ImDavidDunnLittle known fact that Grover Cleveland used to ride around the world in the Statue of Liberty and have sensitive national security discussions inside it, before taking possession of it himself after he left office.
- This is a feature, not a bug. You would think Congressional leaders would be outraged and demanding answers for the rampant anti-semitism. Yet, they right books about in and go on book tours. Seems like some prioritization issues.

- The Trump admin has ended temporary protected status (TPS) for Afghans in the United States on July 12, stating “notable improvements” in Afghanistan and that conditions no longer meet statutory requirements. www.washingtonpost.com/politics/202...

- There is a very good reason I don’t watch CNN. Watching propaganda networks is bad for my health.
- So being on of the goats now gets you a broadcast exemption as minority ownership in any sport now huh…
- Literally all over tv acting like there’s a nation of 35 year old men living off of Medicaid and just doing nothing…don’t know how much more ridiculous these folks can be, yet they get away with the never ending contradictions.

- I haven’t watched a media question briefing the entire Presidency. I just had to watch one based on where I was at. My goodness is the media useless. Granted, their methods have been the same over the years, but my goodness the total lack of team follow up is frankly ridiculous.

- Live in a family home in California. Want health care. Sell you home and start renting. I don’t care how many taxes you paid. This is basically the SALT tax blue state attack all over again. Maybe blue states should try electing some fighters instead of Fetterman, Schumer, Gallego, Durbin et al.
- imposing $1 million home equity limit for medicaid long term care. breaking the notion that medicaid could be for anyone. no more "get super sick and can no longer work - don't worry, medicaid is for you even if you used to make a great living." live in a rich city? you have to sell your home first.
- Reposted by ImDavidDunnreally destroying the idea of social insurance here. imagine you're living in the same house your parents lived in, and your grandparents before them. you get really sick. you have to sell your home and now try to pay rent to get medicaid? bad stuff.

- Isn’t health one of the reasons you wouldn’t be working? No idea why the GOP is dead set on connecting health care to work. Won’t this just incentivize low wage employers to cancel health benefits, raising Medicaid costs? Won’t this make families more cautious about having babies?
