I live in a house that's too big in a town that's too small.
I need a change.
May 6, 2025 12:10I was in the same boat years ago. I gave it a good thought and decided to leap. If I didn’t like it, I could always move back.
Packed up, moved west to the city, found the quaint apartment in the neighbourhood that spoke to me and have never been happier.
You think you have it bad ... I live in a crappy pit of a rooming house owned by a MAGA and my husband is living in our car with our dog.
Yeah, we need a change too.
And it's not because we don't have money.
I am in Blackfoot! Moved back after 30 years to pursue graduate degree. Now going to try to emigrate to Portugal. Grad school may be irrelevant under this administration...
Move to any major city and you'll have the opposite problem.
Wait…. Where’s Vance?
Oh…..
THAT’s where he is!
I 'm headed to Panama to look for rental ,i want out of this willful ignorance!!
When the winds of wanderlust blow, one must set up sail.

My family did that almost 3 years ago- a county of 47000 where everyone knew everyone’s business to a county of 750k where there is an adventure on every street and opportunities for those that want to try new things- Best. Decision. Ever.
If you’re escaping to Canada, take some of us with you!!
That’s how I felt living in Iowa. My bubble is too big for such a small place
Did that recently. Left an over 5000 sq ft historic home in a town of 25k, moved to a city of over one million and a smaller home. Change is good. Do it!
We left our house (4 bed 3 bath badly constructed crumbling mess of a house) for RV life and while the RV adventure ended earlier than planned, we learned a lot about small living. I greatly prefer living small to living big. And my dream location is someplace walkable with robust public transit.
Opposite problem looking for a change. Where is the perfect balance? Looking for suggestions 🤷🏻♀️
Trade houses with a family that needs the room and the safety.
Had the same problem… so unloaded it all and moved to a small place in a big city.
You can switch with me buddy... My apartment is small as hell 😂
Then make a change!
I sold everything I own so I could travel full time. I just celebrated my 10 year travel anniversary in beautiful Nepal... it's never too late to dream a new dream...
I feel ya. Taking way too much of my time & money.
Trade?
I think you would love Savannah Ga.
A house that’s too small in a town that’s too big, perhaps?
Good luck making change happen.
Move to the country.
