- Yes! A vision of a better world, even a flawed one, is both vital and vitalizing. Hope is a weed that grows through cracks in the pavement but it can be hard to hold onto without something to look toward.
- I'm into my forties (which is still young right?) and I can remember stuff being better. Work was better, it paid better, expenses were lower, there were more places to find community. Even just 20 years ago stuff was much better, and the world of my Boomer parents was another world entirely.
- One thing I love about folks like Kropotkin is they believe in people. They see the wisdom and goodness that lives in us now that just needs to be freed form the systems used to crush and exploit us. It's so refreshing and I think true.

- I wonder what you would find if you compared the arrest rate for people in food not bombs vs. the rate for proud boys.

- The vitriolic hatred of anything that grants workers a sliver of independence is a long running story.
- I've heard of enclosure, but I don't think it's ever been so cleanly articulated to me that alienation of workers from each other is vital because (most) humans just naturally work together for their collective benefit.
