- Stay away from this stuff!! This is Poison Hemlock and it can hurt you.. bad Not all white flowers are bad. So,how do you know what's poisonous and what isn't ? Look at the stem. If you see purple splotches then that is a sign it’s poisonous #BlueEarth
- Reposted by AmarieTHANKS FOR SHARING!
- Reposted by AmarieIt gets way bigger than Queen Anne's lace ever did. I've pulled stems that were nearly 12 ft tall. The leaves are also lots more lacy.
- Reposted by AmarieHard to tell the difference between this and wild carrots or or Queen Anne's Lace sometimes in the morning or evening... purple splotches are hard to see.
- Reposted by AmarieThanks 🙏 for the heads up.

- Reposted by AmarieThank you! We are just starting to see this plant along roadsides (thanks, PEN DOT! Grr) and we need people to know what it looks like. Good job!

- Reposted by AmarieThank you, very apposite. Socrates died from hemlock poisoning. At the time that Athens moved from a democracy to an oligarchy, he was tried for 'introducing other deities', and condemned to death. Socrates' means of execution was drinking hemlock, which he did after one last teaching moment. Hm.
