Exactly. Your time is at such a premium that you'll spend your hard earned money buying a new thing instead of fixing your old one.

I see so many things thrown away by the side of the road that are completely intact, sometimes without even a scratch on them. I don't know people's reasons, I think sometimes it just doesn't fit with a person's space I'm always happy to give things a new home though :3

I sew and make soap as a hobby. I tell people I never have the energy to do it, im always picking up after people or solving people's problems. So I feel this.

I have been fixing old stereos because soundwave obviously, but it's crazy how many I have to turn away because there is not enough time to fix them all.

This is so unbelievably kind. Thank you. My grandmother was a hoarder, and her "cluttered" genes definitely got passed down to the rest of us. I feel absolutely sick throwing away all of the things we have to from her house, but it simply isn't possible to give everything a home.

I called a place to get my divan bed base reupholstered. They told me that the cost for the fabric alone is more then the price for a whole new bed base.... So yeah, sometimes it's just more cost effective to replace then repair.
