This is exactly what happened in Germany in the 1930s. It boggles the mind that this kind of upper-G Grotesque isn't a blinking-red light. And a convicted, America-attacking, woman-attacking felon is behind it ...

Disagree. Organized crime is behind it, the don is merely a cog in a huge & formidable machine. Can't turn a rock over w/o uncovering a swarm of willing or unwilling mobsters and their accomplices.

And fascism requires violence. Authoritarianism feeds on violence so we mustn’t feed it.
