- In these days of the "now times", I hate Fridays. Today is no different. Terrible things are being done to people I care deeply about - people who serve the common good as public servants. I can't reach and hug all of my friends and colleagues who are affected. We are all going to be affected.
- This is important.
- Please reach out to talk about Clinical Faculty Scholars Program or other early career researcher training options. Applications due March 21. @cuanschutz.bsky.social
- How many people do you know that currently have the flu? I know two currently, in Denver, and I haven't asked a lot of people. It's just that common! I will wear a mask in clinic today. Public health matters. Vaccine development and distribution matters.

- We are also living this. The VA leads and partners with Universities to conduct research that seeks to improve quality of care, especially for rural populations and through telehealth. It is so hard to see colleagues not being able to keep their jobs.

- A whole generation of early career scientists and physician-scientists, including colleagues and myself, are particularly vulnerable to these funding freezes and cuts, with jobs and careers depending on federal grants. #IDsky #Medsky #Episky www.science.org/content/arti...

- Reposted by Hillary LumI think some people hear “grants” and think that without them, scientists and government workers just have less stuff to play with at work. But grants fund salaries for students, academics, researchers, and people who work in all areas of public service. “Pausing” grants means people don’t eat.

- Important and so grateful for this. Much work still to do for #telehealth to be routinely part of health care, beyond March 31. Every week, I see older patients by #telehealth, helping them avoid driving, avoid exposure to infections, and receive treatments. #gerisky #medsky.
