That’s no different from the argument that Brown versus board is wrong because 14th amendment framers never intended to have integrated schools. What matters is the words they passed and the principle they embody.

- The dominant impression left by the video at the ICE facility where Mayor Baraka was arrested is a chaotic melee that reveals the ICE officers had no control of the situation and I'm betting little training. Coming back out of the facility to arrest Baraka for "trespassing" looks pretty tenuous.

- In other words, if the courts don't rule for us, we'll suspend habeas corpus. He is one cold-blooded legal ignoramus. Suspension, an extraordinarily grave move, is not for the President to do unilaterally, notwithstanding anything about Lincoln's presidency.
