- We produce more gas than needed ourselves. Japan re-sells our gas as surplus to other countries. Foreign-owned miners take subsidies and profits, little or no tax is paid in return. Renewables reduce the need for gas locally. Elected politicians must choose best for Australia. No way, Murray!

- There could be negotiation and a resolution to cooperate in dealing with climate change. Politicians don't seem to be interested in that.
- Australian politics has been dominated by climate politics for past 20 years. Influenced Rudd beating Howard, Gillard/Rudd losing to Abbott, Turnbull rolled by Morrison, Morrison wins 2019, Albo beating Morrison. The rise of the Teals is climate related, and now Coalition falling apart over climate.
- Reposted by gwenocLabor's 'small target' approach to the US "has meant minimising domestic debate...that could undermine support for AUKUS" We need debate on why #AUKUS deserves ANY support. It's stupid, costly & dangerous, aimed more at sucking up to the US than our national defence. johnmenadue.com/post/2025/05...
