Gayton Gomez
A lawyer; not your lawyer. I'd tell you more but it's a surprise. Blocking is my hobby. She/her. Slava Ukraini.
- Taking a social media break.
- Having run 6 miles and walked another 9 today, i feel I have earned my lovely gin and tonic by a pretty garden
- The tip the shoe salesman gave me about rubbing a candle along the parts of your shoe that cause chafing on your bare skin? It works.
- This thought has occurred to me. If any masked men try to grab me, I will not go quietly.
- This is also what I suspect -- that some of the masked so-called ICE are random MAGA "militia". Who's going to tell them they can't do this? ICE? The Trump administration?
- This is what I’m sayin’. I think it became apparent from the earliest days that there was some set of irregulars at work. I don’t know if they were secretly deputized or just encouraged to freelance, but this needs more coverage, along with a refusal from press to just default to calling them “ICE.”
- Gotta love how the same people who regarded covering their face to prevent the spread of a pandemic as tantamount to torture regard it as de rigueur when roughing up 16-year-old girls or people exercising their first amendment rights
- I have completed my first run since my mom got sick last summer--four miles. Slower than I was, of course, but honestly I was pleased I could run 4 miles after so much time not running
- While I have been swearing and sputtering with rage about Miller's comments about habeas, Steve Vladeck took the time to write a really good article, which you should read if you're wondering why many of us have been swearing and sputtering with rage
- Excellent piece on Miller on habeas. Far superior to the surprisingly both-sides-ish coverage by some media. What Miller is claiming the power to do isn’t questionable or dubious. It would be anti-constitutional usurpation. www.stevevladeck.com/p/148-suspen...
- I'm still on my "get in shape for summer" kick but I kind of need a Friday treat, so I'm thinking sushi
- Jfc. Two grown men. I had assumed it was a couple of dumb drunk teenagers on a dare. I know there are a buttload of more important things to be angry about, but this was so utterly mindless and almost seems symbolic of random, stupid destruction of good and beautiful things
