- Statues, bridges, soundscapes: Queen Elizabeth II memorial designs unveiled
- What a shocking waste of money at a time when the desperate are having their benefits cut. How about crowdfunding the cost of the build? Then we'll see how truly dedicated the British people are to the royals?

- If the entire British military was rebuilt from scratch, would there be room for Gurkhas?

- Let's hope that those participating understand why we celebrate it. A previous generation fought for and protected our freedoms. And judging by this weeks local election results, there is a generation out there throwing it away.

- The guy that led a campaign which made the entire nation poorer is now being rewarded. When will we learn?
- Macron shook one hand.
- Starmer should watch this video and learn something!

- I don't believe that any self respecting person should travel to the US for a holiday right now. It's not a stain on the millions of Americans who didn't vote for trump, but unless they feel the financial pain then nothing will change.
- Is this just another example of why the Dutchies need to be abolished? @republiccampaign.bsky.social

- In the eyes of the British people, it isn't.

- Get his liar of a press secretary in the room. She'll argue the world is flat!
- It's amazing how few people in the UK realise that the last time the world went in to a massive financial tailspin, albeit one not directly caused by the President of the USA, it was Gordon Brown & the late Alistair Darling who provided the sort of international leadership desperately needed now.
- I wasn't aware of that. I always thought of Gordon Brown as the guy who was the UK chancellor who: 1. Sold off half of Britain's gold reserve's for rock bottom prices 2. Was chancellor for 9 year before the financial crisis & presided over years of deregulation But I guess he had good moments too 👍

- FYI: Today I reported a fake ad and account on LinkedIn which was spreading misleading information on you. I've been informed that it's been taken down.
- As a data analyst, I look at this board with anger 😡. NO SORT ORDER! 😂 #powerbi #dataanalysis

- What's the 'context' of those tests? As I understand it, the failed launch last year was put down to an anomaly. It's also likely to be top secret. Didn't a test fail in 2016 because it veered off course. The point being, total operational sovereignty doesn't matter if your product doesn't work.
- Very informative and well balanced article. Just one point of note. Yes, the UK nuclear deterrent is 'operationaly independent'. However, the last 2 test launches FAILED!

- Well done. Best advertising you could hope for. It's a badge of honour.

- Whenever I hear the Russians speak about peace, it reminds me of the movie Mars Attacks!
- 🚨 CBS News has received an internal NSA bulletin from Feb 2025 warning staff NOT to use Signal app for sensitive info, citing vulnerabilities to Russian hackers. These docs were sent pre-Houthi chat scandal with Jeffrey Goldberg.
- What vulnerability? The guy was added to the group. Sounds to me like WhatsApp PR.

- Fair point. Hopefully his next step would be to delete his Twitter account.
- How can you tell it's not a fake account? I would have thought he'd use his own .com handle and not bsky?

- I see jobs advertised. But you need to have security clearance to apply. And you can get security clearance unless you're already worked in the industry. It's a vicious circle.

- In 1982 General Galtieri invaded the Falklands, a British overseas territory. Ronald Reagan tried to strong arm Margaret Thatcher & make her cede the territory to the Argentinians. Why? Because he was an American ally. She resisted. Britain fought back and won. History repeats itself. #ukraine
- Finally, social media that's billionaire-proof. ⚡ Bluesky's first IRL ads spotted in @boston.gov @mbta.com.
- I don't have a problem with ads. If you bring the big spenders to Bluesky, perhaps it will drive them away from Twitter and give the advertisement market a further option.

- There are so many great e-learning providers in the US which I've used in the past. Great people and great material. So it saddens me that I'll no longer be paying for their services. If they don't feel or sense any pain then nothing will change.

- Your defence and admiration of a guy who broke the rules is embarrassing. He is 100% responsible. Yes, I read the full case and it's down to him. Tennis is taking it easy on him because it has a doping problem and you never know who's next? Sorry.... it's an unfollow for me.

- I've never understood why British politicians are allowed to use 3rd party, foreign owned applications to discuss work related matters. I am only allowed to use company owned software to discuss work. It amazes me that they don't have bespoke, private software of their own?

- A set of draconian policies which were introduced by the former (Conservative) government and opposed at the time by the opposition (Labour). Now we have a new (Labour) government and they appear to have changed their minds.
- Sounds like a plan
- So @guyverhofstadt.bsky.social wants X banned but still uses it. Perhaps he could show his commitment by confirming that he's deleted his account? Half in - half out doesn't work.
