- Ever notice how some AI assistants feel like tools while others feel like companions? Turns out, it's not always about fancy tech upgrades, because sometimes it's just clever design. huggingface.co/blog/giadap/...
- Very proud of this work led by my amazing colleague @mmitchell.bsky.social! Read her interview for Wired here: www.wired.com/story/ai-bia...
- Many thanks to @wired.com & @thiccreese.bsky.social for covering our work on stereotype bias!! The new dataset is SHADES, now available here: huggingface.co/datasets/LanguageShades/BiasShades The first of its kind for analyzing GenAI stereotyping across many languages+cultures. Published at NAACL.🤗
- I spoke to @washingtonpost.com about how bad actors are "grooming" LLMs with disinformation. Most chatbots struggle with disinformation, which worsens with search-augmented systems prioritizing recent information. The more real-time these models become, the more vulnerable they are to manipulation.
- 🤗 New from us! Just published a blog post exploring how we're rethinking consent in the AI ecosystem. Here's what we're seeing in the @hf.co Hub that differs from traditional closed systems...
- People out there are turning chatbots into their companions and talking love to them; meanwhile, here I am, mistreating Claude when my code breaks.
- 🌶️ New paper alert! Just published with @stepalminteri.bsky.social on cognitive biases in LLM discourse. Whether you think we're approaching AGI or LLMs are just "fancy autocomplete," your position likely stems from psychological biases. osf.io/preprints/ps...
- We've all become experts at clicking "I agree" without a second thought. In my latest blog post available on @hf.co, I explore why these traditional consent models are increasingly problematic in the age of generative AI.
- Excited to share our latest piece on the double-edged sword of AI agents published in @technologyreview.com 🤖 It builds on our research paper that's been making waves lately -- pretty cool to see all the attention it's getting!
- 🎙️ Ho registrato un podcast sull'etica dell'intelligenza artificiale in italiano! Parliamo di dati sintetici, open source, agenti conversazionali, impatto ambientale... Praticamente un crash course su Crash Talk. Grazie a @adsignorelli.bsky.social! open.spotify.com/episode/4dmH...
- I am at the @iaseai.bsky.social at the @oecd-ocde.bsky.social today and tomorrow — drop me a message if you want to chat 🤗
- From ancient medical ethics to modern AI challenges, the journey of consent represents one of humanity's most fascinating ethical evolutions. In my latest blog post, I explore how we've moved from medical paternalism to a new frontier where AI capabilities force us to rethink consent.
- When ChatGPT came out over two years ago, a couple of colleagues and I were already wondering: wouldn't it flatten the language? Wouldn't we end up with homogenized online content?
