- In 1890 the US introduced the (Republican) McKinley Tariff raising import duties to almost 50%. The result? Democrat landslide in 1890 Congressional elections. Herbert Hoover (Republican) & the Smoot/Hawley Tariff Act did the same in 1930 … result? FDR won landslide 1932. Roll on 2026 midterms…

- Respectfully don’t agree - thanks to Blucher Wellington won at Waterloo. Thanks to Canadians, Australians Americans Free French and Free Poles plus so many others Nazism was defeated. From Canada to Turkey to Estonia and the EU almost everyone knows Putin has to be stopped. Superstate? No.
