Shitting on music, art, fashion, and/or games because "we're in a crisis and should focus on serious things™️" is the "I'm not like other girls" of politics. It requires you to set aside all awareness of how those topics inform and intersect with serious things so you can feel better doing nothing.

You will find rich heritages of art, music, fashion, and games that survived it. Were pioneered during it. Thrived in the midst of it. Why? Because these things give our survival *meaning.*

Besides for entertainment, art is also a powerful tool to convey messages.
My problem with games overall is more of what games represent morally. I still play the stuff I like, but the issues surrounding every corner are too much to ignore.
