Hideo Kojima Reveals He Has A 'USB Stick Of Game Ideas' For His Studio To Use After He Dies
Death Stranding and Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima is well-known for crafting games that speculate on what our collective future might entail. However, recent events have left the game director taking a deeper look at his own future, and what might become of Kojima Productions when dies. In an interview with Edge Magazine (later reported on by VGC), Kojima said that falling "seriously ill" during the pandemic inspired him to re-evaluate his career ambitions and how much time he has left as a creator. After recovering, the Death Stranding 2 director made the decision to give a "USB stick with all my ideas on it" to his personal assistant as a way to ensure the studio has new ideas to toy around with after he is gone. Kojima likened the storage device to a "will" of sorts. "Perhaps they could continue to make things after I’m gone at Kojima Productions… This is a fear for me: what happens to Kojima Productions after I’m gone? I don’t want them to just manage our existing IP," Kojima said.Continue Reading at GameSpotdlvr.it- Here's an EXCLUSIVE look with @wildat a few upcoming MTG x FF cards: Hugo Kupka, Squall Leonhart, and Balamb Garden.
The Voice Of Master Chief Asks Halo Fans To Stand Up For Voice Actors On Strike
The SAG-AFTRA voice actors strike is now in its 10th month, and prominent voice actors are asking fans to speak up for the people behind their beloved game characters. In a recent interview, Master Chief voice actor Steve Downes spoke on the issue of AI voice acting that has fueled the ongoing strike, appealing to fans to support the actors' fight. Speaking to Rebs Gaming in a clip posted to X, Downes explained that the "single issue" of the strike is now the use of AI, and ensuring that voice actors have a say over how--or if--their voices are used for AI replicas. "We haven't been able to make any progress with that at all so far," Downes says of the strike that started last July. "So we're really asking the people who consume this game, who made Halo what it is, to voice their opinion about this and show support."Continue Reading at GameSpotdlvr.itMagic The Gathering May Have Weighed In On Final Fantasy 7 Canon
In Final Fantasy VII, Cloud has the ability to take one of his companions on a "date" to the Gold Saucer Skywheel, and Square Enix has yet to confirm which of the companions is the canon choice. Its reappearance in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is said to be non-canonical, but a card from the upcoming Magic: The Gathering - Final Fantasy expansion might have inadvertently provided an answer to the canon question, thanks to a few versions with alternate art. The card in question is Secret Rendezvous, which appears in the Final Fantasy VII-themed preconstructed Commander deck Limit Break. Secret Rendezvous depicts Cloud on the Skywheel date, and there are four versions of the card, each showing Cloud sitting across from either Tifa, Yuffie, Aerith, or Barret. The four versions of Secret Rendezvous However, on the official Magic: The Gathering website, it's confirmed that the default version of Secret Rendezvous--the version of the card included in the deck itself--is Tifa's version. The other three versions can only be found in Collector Booster packs. Considering the Sephiroth card shown at PAX East may be hiding a secret for the upcoming third game in the FF7 Remake trilogy, perhaps this is one way to officially set the record straight--or it's the MTG team choosing their favorite partner.Continue Reading at GameSpotdlvr.itYou'll Need A Visa Card To Grab The Latest Ubisoft DLC

Magic: The Gathering – Final Fantasy Is As Exciting For The Design Team As It Is For The Players
To say that the team behind Magic: The Gathering's upcoming Final Fantasy collaboration set is excited to launch would be an understatement. "As we drove up to the convention center, there's this giant hotel-sized screen that says 'Magic: The Gathering – Final Fantasy on it," principal designer and set design lead Gavin Verhey said during a press preview event for the upcoming set. "We all just looked at each other and said, 'This is it, this is what we've been waiting for. It's finally happening.'" Moments like this are what Verhey, executive producer Zakeel Gordon, principal game designer Dillon Deveney, and senior game designer Daniel Holt have dreamed of throughout the four-year history of the set's development. As the team reminisces about their time working on the expansion, both in Square Enix's offices in Japan and the Wizards of the Coast headquarters in Renton, Washington, our Zoom call lights up with smiles and laughter at the simple mention of cards like Summon: Bahamut, names like Yoshitaka Amano, and countless other references.Continue Reading at GameSpotdlvr.it
