It is not corrupt to take an action that aligns with the interest of a person who gives you a gift, unless the official action was in direct response to that gift--a bribe. Terms matter. Accuracy and fairness matters. Regardless of what social media wants.

- Before the internet, there were books and periodicals. Whatever Starhawk and a handful of others were doing. The Gen X quest for authenticity had you looking for authorities to claim a lineage from. Early Internet forums opened things up a bit, and then Influencers made the old ways new again.
