- Maybe it's because it's 2am but I feel like social media just makes me furious so often and readily lately and that's like... bad. It's not good to be so angry especially because it's usually either 1.) at strangers or 2.) over utterly inconsequential shit!
- 1.) This fucks a huge range of students with disabilities 2.) In an environment where universities are increasingly demand we make courses available fully online, it's absolutely unworkable 3.) It does not actually address the pedagogical gap created by writing an exam or essay with an LLM
- Sorry for screaming but with all this on top of the rest of 2025 I am at my LIMIT
- If I see one more person say the answer to rampant LLM use is "make them hand-write exams" I'm going to fucking blow up the EARTH.
- I need the LLM craze to pass us by or die or wipe out all life or something primarily because it's bad for humanity But additionally because I am BEYOND EXHAUSTED at armchair takes on how to be an educator.
- The cognitive contortions and magical thinking people use when trying to game social media algorithms feel increasingly like desperate intricate rituals to appease capricious gods
- I lecture the game design students about how every game system needs some predictability to be functional and it involves playing imaginary blackjack and you say "hit me" and instead of a playing card he puts down a random YuGiOh card and trying to appease socials feels like playing that game.
