I ruled with an iron fist. Managing an offshore team of part time contractors is hard cause it's almost impossible to get them to care
After 6 years, I'm back to leading an offshore team. Everyday is hell
For me it was very early hell to. Nothing like being half asleep at 6AM and instantly a bunch of people from India speaking loudly about a million things because it's their late afternoon.
Yes the time zone is awful.
I'd ask "What's the update there since last week" and they said they didn't even start cause they never got access to the tool. Didn't bother telling me they needed access. Just sat on his hands for the week to tell. Come on man
LOL. I think we had the same guys.
My favorite was trying to implement a quick status update/percent complete on our daily scrum and I was told "No. That's micromanaging." Bruh.
