- Stupid bills like this get written constantly and they always die in committee. Not saying we should be totally complacent, but this is not something worth panicking or getting anxious over. Its just dumb posturing by some blowhard republican that will never become law. Something as old as congress.
- Even if it passes committee and gets approved by the house (both doubtful) it is 100% dead on arrival in the senate. The only reason the narrow congressional review act bills passed is they are unique procedurally and can't be filibustered, and the appropriations bill HAD to pass.

- Congress doesn't make laws anymore, they've intentionally demoted themselves from being a co-equal branch of government. 5 months into the year they've passed 1 tiny immigration reform, 1 appropriations bill, and 3 congressional review act bills that are just narrow repeals of regulations.

- This is the third time now you have intentionally "misunderstood" my point. Not once have I made a judgment for or against international law. I am responding to your argument that international law is not merely a suggestion. That is false. It simply does not exist when a state says otherwise.

- Those people didn't have a state protecting them. The United States literally has a law pre-authorizing the use of military force to invade the Netherlands if any US citizen is ever brought before the Hague. So yeah, international law is just a suggestion. It falls away when a state says otherwise.
