- You can think of trade negotiations as answering two questions: 1️⃣ "What do we agree this deal will do?" 2️⃣ "What does that look like in detail and translated into legal language we can both accept?" Today's General Terms US-UK agreement was about announcing elements where they've done the former.

- 1/ UK-US Trade Deal: Pre-Thoughts a) I beg you to wait for the text before speculating wildly. b) While the 10% US tariff on everything from everywhere is annoying for the UK, the much higher tariffs on cars and steel is prohibitive.
