Mode should let u choose how much contrast the text has
And the color or temperature of the text
They should be meeting (or exceeding) minimum contrast levels for accessibility, but of course, that’s not guaranteed. 🙈
Aside from that, visual customization is already available, but the more user friendly tools tend to be provided by plugins or other software.
A logical approach would be browsers providing controls like you’re requesting & including a way for devs to set styles based on the settings.
That way your settings could carry across sites & the controls would be standardized.
