- To this point: when I walk around the building where I work in my apron and work clogs, pushing carts or carrying heavy things, people routinely refuse to hold doors for me and let them close in my face. When I am there as a guest, this does not happen. Coworkers and I joke that we're "not people."
- They truly see tips as a voluntary extra and they also think that the work I and my coworkers do is simply not worthy of a living wage. That it should be for immigrants, the young, and the uneducated, who I guess deserve to be poor forever. That's the actual facts.
