- Coopers Hawk. These birds are rapacious hunters. Their diet consists of smaller birds and they will fly through dense branches in pursuit of their prey. This is a hazardous way to catch a meal and broken chest bones are not uncommon as a result. #Birds #NaturePhotography #Raptors #Hawks #BirdsOfPrey

- A bit of trivia about European Starlings in the U.S.: They're all descended from 100 birds released in NY about 100 years ago by a group who wanted to introduce all the birds mentioned in Shakespeares plays to America. Apropos since today is Shakespeares birthday.
