Webinar: Practical Strategies to Safeguard Business Health From Climate Risks
Jun 5, 2025, 9 am CTRegister at Trellis. Extreme weather events have a significant impact on a company’s bottom line. Even at a time when mandatory climate risk disclosures are being reduced, companies need to remain vigilant about climate-related threats. This webinar will cover the unique obstacles companies face in evaluating climate risks, offer practical solutions to enhance risk quantification and highlight the importance of building a strategic framework that integrates climate considerations into overall risk management.

Reif, J. A., Larrick, R. P., & Soll, J. B. (2025). Evidence of a social evaluation penalty for using AI. Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, 122(19), e2426766122. Abstract Despite the rapid proliferation of AI tools, we know little about how people who use them are perceived by others. Drawing on theories of attribution and impression management, we propose that people believe they will be evaluated negatively by others for using AI tools and that this belief is justified.

The federal shift in energy and water investment in the U.S.
Read the full story at Utility Dive. The administration change in Washington has signaled significant repositioning of federal support for the energy and utilities industry. This evolution extends beyond simple program changes, reflecting a broader federal shift in how energy and water infrastructure resources are invested in by the U.S. government through grants, loans and tax incentives. Simultaneously, the introduction of potential new tariffs represents another major factor that impacts an industry struggling with supply chain fulfillment. For utility executives and municipal planners, understanding these changes is critical not just for compliance but for strategic positioning in an increasingly complex operating environment.
