- oooo - full dimension studs? If you have to take any out, preserve them if you can. They're like hen's teeth! Is it still slats and plaster with knob and tube wiring? (you have unlocked one of my Special Interests, I'm so sorry!)
- The democrats have been begging for money for a good decade at least in order to “fight” Trump doing shit like this and you know midterms are gonna be full of the same absolutely spineless performative shit.
- Nothing wrong with Qatar. Bigotry never wins. Trumps message to the pope was heartwarming
- Not tolerating fascist apologists here.

- I always default to explaining it in relation to more easily accessible systems or processes. It’s why I relate things to cooking and construction a lot. 🙂

- It’s wild how many liberals who thought that defunding/abolishing the police was a bad idea are now shocked that these same police are assisting federal agents in kidnapping people off the streets with no due process or repercussions. They’re doing exactly what we have been telling you they would.

- To be fair, Harris doesn’t have a history of bending over backwards to hold police accountable and was never onboard with defunding/abolishing the police. She supported moving some funds to social services but was a strong proponent of maintaining police forces. You’re either no cops or pro cops.
- I would bet real dollars that many CEOs are already having AI do their job and they are just collecting the paychecks for it with absolutely no repercussions.
- I can't qwhite figure out why all these conservatives cry about Waco, but not this... www.phillytrib.com/commentary/e...
- In light of ice snatching people up, regardless of citizenship status with no due process and the push to suspend habeas, I am once again reminding folks that I’m happy to teach gun safety, handling, and marksmanship, as well as jiujitsu to folks

- I’m a big fan of The Read, Normal Gossip, and Sibling Rivalry. Queer, gossipy, bantery, absolutely lowest of stakes. And funny.

- Okay, here's the thing about AI and writing: when we learn to cook, we do so following recipes. We practice the steps of the recipe until we have internalized most of it. We might refer back to the recipe to make sure we're doing it correctly, but for the most part we rely on intuition, on habit.

- Even then they say dishwasher safe, it doesn’t guarantee they will hold up over time or a lot of washes.

- It’s the detergent that causes it, not the heat. And this has been my experience working in high volume professional kitchens, so take that for what you will. Ultimately, if your nonstick pan works, you don’t need to put it in the dishwater since it will wipe off then be sanitized in seconds.

- Unless something has dramatically changed recently, the nonstick coatings wear off faster in the dishwasher.
- Call it the Flavor Gate. I call it cooking with my tastebuds even tho I might not sample anything till it's done.
- I have a couple of points that I will sample while I’m still able to make adjustments but once it passes a gate, you can’t make changes.
- Cooking is the most reliable way to soothe my mind and unplug tech brain. It feels more like idk, singing, walking outside by water/gardens, it's just a joyful low effort activity. The dishes tho, not fun. Much anxiety but i do clean as i go for the most part (i try i try).
- Same for all of this. Cooking is a great way for me to engage my favorite parts of my neurodivergence combined with creativity, having the low cognitive effort of prep, the excitement of the implementation in the pan or pot, and the act of showing love by feeding people. But also fuck the dishes
- :) I'm gonna be more mindful of it, see what paying attention to the process reveals.
- This is how I made menus and additions as a chef. Especially once you learn how different techniques can transform the same ingredients or combinations of ingredients, it becomes very much like mentally passing things through a logic gate to understand what the outcome will be.
