Sitting here remembering when GWB announced the invention of the Department of Homeland Security after 9/11, and how every anti-war activist I knew at the time had the immediate reaction that with a name like that, it wasn’t going to end well.

I think a large majority of Americans hated that "Homeland" bullshit. I know I did.
But never forget, Congress sold us out.
When I first heard of the DHS I immediately thought The Dept of the Fatherland Security !! That was the vibe I got !! For me it’s never been a dept made to protect us from foreign bad actors, but a way to take away more of our protections from our own government !!
