TODAY the NYT publishes an investigation into the Trump memecoin $TRUMP and how it has turned into a extraordinary venue for foreign influence campaigns. What we are seeing is potentially corrupt attempts to change US policy by paying the Trump family money. This is no "Russian Hoax"

Corruption requires explict quid pro quo. It is not corrupt to take an action that aligns with the interest of a person who gives you a gift, unless the official action was in direct response to that gift--a bribe. Terms matter. Accuracy and fairness matters. Regardless of what social media wants.
I have to complete annual compliance training in which I agree to not accept a gift with a value of more than $500 from someone in my role in a hospitality company. This is absurd framing that makes me think you are just trying to get the scoop on the Joker before Vicki Vale does.
Post was a bit cryptic: this was a Pixel 9 phone pic, not even any image adjustments or real effort into it. How much better would my DSLR be? Less than I would like, sigh.
Yes, I have a very expensive digital camera and lenses for... reasons? Sigh.

I am in no position to comment on camera capabilities, but here for the multiple compare/contrast photos of this very excellent cat.

I truly never thought I would say this, but has anyone talked to Disney about their strategy for this yet?
all the examples I’ve seen from this book are so funny. his publisher should have had it fact checked by anyone who has ever had a real job outside academia

The list is actually people who get paid to either save money or generate revenue. Just taking store / retail greeter, that’s a loss prevention role (save) and a promoter of store offers role (generator). As a former retail employee, I HATED greeting shifts, but I got the function of them.
I cannot believe that
1) my wedding is in the New York Times
2) they didn't mention the many Star Trek references at my wedding
Ya girl walked down the aisle as a string quartet played the DS9 theme 😁 and they did the TNG theme when we recessed as husband & wife! 🥰

He did end his vows with a Darmok and Jalad reference!
Gosh, I am such a natural cynic about all social media, but the amount of love I am holding in my heart for two strangers on the other side of the country right now is busting through all that. You guys are going to have so much fun being married. Mazel Tov. With arms wide.
Darmok and Jalad forever, in Prospect Park.
WSJ: Cadwalader’s pact with Trump “is backfiring, adding to an exodus of lawyers that has placed the firm on uncertain footing.”

www.wsj.com/us-news/law/...It will be like that Mad Men where everybody quits and they start a new firm with most of the same people
I know we have a lot going on right now, but damn, that was a perfect episode of television.

Trump picks conspiracy theorist with no medical license to be Surgeon General
Previous nominee was withdrawn amid claims she had misrepresented her medical education
Why not Marco Rubio? His credentials are equally as strong and he’s been collecting titles lately.
At this juncture, he might be the safest option - stretched too thin to wreck as badly with only one job.
It was literally created by a small group of White House staff with no input from the cabinet until a few days before it was publicly announced
honestly still can't get over how badly designed DHS is
I hate to use the word "reassuring" in this context, but it is kind of reassuring to remind myself that these guys are always these guys. Just sloppy reaction as policy every time.
