In a bizarre twist, I get paid to take pictures.

- I've been thinking about posting the occasional photograph to Bsky but I feel like the image quality is not good? Foremost, it seems like the level of detail is weirdly poor, making every picture appear out of focus. Or more precisely perhaps, softly focused. Are other photographers seeing this?
- Huh, okay, so there's just something crummy about how the site presents pictures. The image on the left was grabbed from here, while the one on the right is from my website (www.deepplanes.com). There's no reason for basic photo hosting to look this busted in this point in time!?
- (Wild how clear the difference is, even though Bsky has significantly fucked up the "better" version too.)
- I guess I should state I host my site on Format, which is geared toward image makers and has very nice reproduction (I think). So obviously I would expect it to outperform a regular social media site. But *this* badly?

- Spotted this spiky wanderer on a beach near 1770—talk about being at the right place at the right time! Moments like this remind me why I never leave the camera behind. 😀 What’s the most unexpected animal you’ve come across at the beach? #wildlifeonfilm #echidnaadventure #australianbeaches
- The total smearing of the background really highlights the intense surfaces of this busy little animal. Super pleasing effect!
