The fact that he was already convicted of 34 felonies didn’t stop people from voting for him, what good will calling him a crook do?
The mainstream press did everything they could to undermine the seriousness of those crimes, presenting “both sides” as if they carried equal weight, muddying up the water just enough for plausible doubt (meanwhile constantly harping on Biden’s age).
This is what I mean by “captive opposition”.
Sure but Democrats’ anemic responses to Republican framing didn’t help. For instance, everyday it was Republicans whining about “Open borders” yet I can’t recall a Dem saying, “We do not have an Open Border policy, in fact Biden has deported more than Trump”.

I won’t argue that the Democrats didn’t fail, but there’s a difference between ineptitude & active malice.
Legacy media & the Democrat consultant class are very much the latter.
💯 correct about compromised consultants. That’s why their advice is always “move to the center” and it never works, it just comes off like the Dems don’t really believe in their own positions. Meanwhile the GOP gets crazier and crazier and their followers lap it up.
