- The only winners: water lawyers. One of the lowest runoff totals in the last 35 years is forecast, as April watershed precip was 60% of average. "Hydrological conditions are starting to mirror the frightful years of 2020-22, when meagre runoff sent the reservoirs into a deep plunge to record lows."
- VERY bad projection for Colorado River runoff this year, putting the basin deeper into hydrological - and political - crisis. The current estimate is runoff will be 55% of normal.
