The only time MAGA pretends to care about sexual assault is when they can weaponize it against immigrants coming over the border and transgenders who use women’s restrooms.
The only time MAGA pretends to care about women’s sports is when they can weaponize it against transgenders who wish to participate.
It’s been a minute since Trump has even bothered making any outreach to the LGBT community, but during the 2016 campaign his pitch was that Trump was their only hope to protect them from Muslims who were swarming into the country and thought nothing of throwing gay people from the rooftops.
Remember: authoritarians want you to be afraid of the people they hate so you will accept their authoritarian solutions. They may pay lip service to protecting the vulnerable, but it will always come with an ulterior motive.
