- I'm not practicing much but I am who I am because of my very Catholic parents who taught me right from wrong and to care for everybody. I admired Pope Francis. He will be missed in this very turbulent world.

- Sexuality is so innately human we need to be able to talk about it for people with cancer. Join me, Linda Bosserman, and @drannekatz.bsky.social to do just that. And thanks to @cancercaremascc.bsky.social for offering this!
- Like I said, change is a good thing. Sad to leave Brown University Health but super excited to join such a venerable institution as @tuftsmedschool.bsky.social
- Change is always a good thing. Well, maybe not always. But when opportunities arise, they deserve to be explored. Comfortable isn't synonymous with satisfied.
- Come learn about cancer and its impact on sexuality. All are invited- you do not need to be an oncologist to discuss but all people with cancer deserve the chance to rediscover their sexual selves. Registration is OPEN for @cancercaremascc.bsky.social in #Seattle. mascc.org/annualmeetin...
- Fwiw. You don't need to be an MD to take this course or to help people with questions on their Sexual Health after cancer. You have to want to learn and willing to ask.
- We are a connected society more than ever before. Please, for the love of all things sacred, vaccinate your kids.
- Thankful @bsky.app let's me follow people and form my communities, and also thankful it gives me access to news, not news from an echochamber, but news from around the world. It just feels healthier.
- There are adverse effects from tylenol too. Nothing in medicine is 100% without adverse effects. Its about the risks and benefits, applied to populations. This cannot be taken seriously without context.

- FWIW... The law requires NIH to ensure diversity in its funded research, emphasizing inclusion of women... not females. Women. The law is on the side of diversity, equity, and Inclusion.
- A v A vestige of the AIDS epidemic, i still remember wearing this as a t-shirt when i was a resident carrying for men and women dying of HIV. It seems the lessons from that epidemic are informative today.
- These moves at NIH should alarm everyone. Not only because they are targeted at grants looking to address disparities. 1/6 www.nature.com/articles/d41...

- Reposted by Dr. Don S DizonGuess this is what happens when those in charge 'don't believe' in vaccines. Utter nonsense. Agree....it's time for others to step in and do what needs to be done. Thanks.
- This needs to be addressed. Now.
- Leaving Bangladesh after a 4d visit, but nourished by something that always feeds my soul, especially important now-- perspective.
- How does that saying go? It's not over till it's over? I have to be an optimistic realist, but that's why academia needs to collaborate with industry. We can't do it alone. Indeed, there's a major role for our medical societies to stand up.
- Perhaps its time academia and industry partner and fill this gap.
- First, they said postponed; now the meeting is canceled. That means no flu shots next year. “'It’s a six-month production cycle,' Dr. Offit said. 'So one can only assume that we’re not picking flu strains this year.'" Fundamentally, that's a form of mass murder. www.nytimes.com/2025/02/26/u...
- Trying to access on March 2, here in Dhaka. Definitely down.
- 1/2 Everything about this letter raises alarms. It also ignores the evidence that sexual and gender minoritized (SGM) communities experience hostilities in healthcare in general and within oncology. @health.nationalacademies.org covered this as well, drawing on published evidence.
- At the National Institute of Cancer Research in #dhaka. Doing so much with limited resources- treatment delays can stretch to many months. People are seen on a first come, first serve basis. If one doesn't have a pass by mid afternoon, they must wait to be seen the following day. 1/3
- 14h flights via Instanbul, 2h in customs, and a shower later. Glad to be back in #dhaka for the Bangladesh #breastcancer symposium. Good to be amongst friends doing good work for their people. #equity goes beyond borders. Way beyond.
- Here it is. We are in our documentary moment. Watch it. I stand for #science.
- I hope you were watching #sagawards. Jane Fonda with the speech of a generation. BRAVA!

- Its it liberal to ask, "what's the evidence to support your theory?" Imho. It it's not. Its how societies move forward.

- Needed some inspiration this fine morning.... “All of us are put in boxes by our family, by our religion, by our society, our moment in history, even our own bodies. Some people have the courage to break free.” — Geena Rocero
- Informative paper that addresses a question I have always had: What proportion of people with #cancer (PWC) in the US cross state lines for care?? 1/4 #oncsky #medsky pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/39982726/
- Congratulations to this author group. And thank you for trusting your data with CA. Proud to see the first phase 3 trial published in our journal!
- This. All day.
- Go @swog.org follow here. So proud too be a okay of this!
- Reposted by Dr. Don S DizonTermination notices going out this afternoon to more than 300 employees of the National Cancer Institute. Access likely ends today. Four weeks paid leave and that’s it. Strong power move for Team Cancer.
- It remains my hope, as an optimistic realist.
- Sexual orientatn & gender identity are not controversial... nor is the fact that transgender people are members of our societies. Research w/ sexual & gender minoritized communities is critical for life lived in truth, liberty, & personal happiness. Let it continue. www.science.org/content/arti...
- Appreciate the shout out ❤️
- Reposted by Dr. Don S DizonTrump campaigned on lowering prices “on day one.” But guess what — food and energy prices have actually INCREASED. This is raising new concerns about inflation. If you’re surprised, you haven’t been paying attention. The bottom line: Trump doesn’t care about you.
- This impacts everyone. Not just big ivy institutions. Everyone. #savethenih
