- So busy rehearsing/performing for a musical that I didn't have 🕰️ to take flowering tree 📷 's. These redbud are across the street so I caught them. ❤️ when flowers 💥 right out of the trunk. Kinda like they're too impatient to 🌸 & don't want to wait for a branch😉
- My Canada anemone has begun blooming. Flowers are pure white & I used to struggle getting a pics w/o the petals overexposed. Highly aggressive & wants to form a monoculture. Great in the wild but a bit too aggressive for a garden so I have to keep it in check. #PhotoHour #MacroHour
- Just wrapped up a project. For the 1st time in my 58 yrs I auditioned/rehearsed/performed in a community #theater production of "The Mystery of Edwin Drood" a musical farce by Rupert Holmes based on Charles Dickens' unfinished novel. SO fun to be silly 🤡/make people laugh! May post some 📷 soon.
- I ❤️ hyacinths but I'm also keen on native plants. Imagine my delight in finding a native wild hyacinth. Just had to have it! Been busy so almost missed taking pics but caught it at the tippy-top of its bloom. #StormHour #PhotoHour #MacroHour #Bloomscrolling #gardening #Photography #AltText
- Cardinal from a few yrs ago. Been SO busy that I've had no time for bird photography. However my most time consuming project is wrapping up soon and I'll finally have time to get on the trail and catch some boids 👍 #StormHour #birds #birding #wildlife #nature #Photography #AltText .

- My freesia hath bloometh! I purchased my bulbs in 2021 but they've only bloomed once prior this yr. As you can see I use a contraption to keep it upright cause tall plants get too leggy in my window. Bonus as a houseplant, it smells marvelous! #StormHour #PhotoHour #MacroHour #plants
- Still really busy so just popping in to drop off some baby photos. 1st gosling pics this yr & these tykes were already quite big. Park/creek/ponds in this location becomes a day care center for goslings every yr. Hopefully I'll see some ducklings soon too🤞 #StormHour #wildlife #Photography

- 🚫 DON'T APPROACH/DISTURB EAGLE NESTS🚫 *Pic taken w/ a powerful telephoto zoom lens/tripod from a great distance. From a few yrs ago👇 but looks like there'll be an eagle chick this yr. Parents moved their nest from this location to a tree nearby. No chick sighting yet. On hiatus, CU in 2 wks.

- Violets are so ubiquitous here that I often don't photograph/notice them. I need to remedy that because they are cute little plants w/ lovely flowers/foliage. Been finding marvelous little volunteer violets out back so I'm transplanting some into the more formal garden. #PhotoHour #MacroHour
- I've been posting some pics of my blooming creeping phlox. Here she is this morning. Love to let it expand more but looks like I'm gonna have to divide/transplant 😭. Wish I had an open field planted with nothing but creeping phlox. Wouldn't that be cool when it went off 🎆 😍? #PhotoHour
- Didn’t have my camera with me but I thought this was a lovely color combo in my friend’s garden so I grabbed a quick iPhone pic to share. For some reason those remarkably different purples work together 🤷
- Three yrs ago my friend gifted me my phlox patch. We cut a 2'x3' section out of his huge patch then plunked it down in my 2'x3' plot. And... Ta-Da! Insta-Phlox-Carpet™ ("As seen on TV"). Add water & wait 3 yrs for it to double in size 👍. Easy-peeasy! #PhotoHour #BloomScrolling #gardening

- My creeping phlox has 'sploded! Whether creeping or tall woodland, phlox puts on a wonderful show. Can't really argue with a billowing carpet of flowers, no? #PhotoHour #MacroHour #BloomScrolling #Photography #AltText
- "What's up, buttercup?" This is the 1st yr my native buttercup bloomed 😍. Pretty sure this is swamp buttercup (Ranunculus hispidus). Been fascinated by those slick petals since I 1st came across it on the trail so added to the garden 2 yrs ago👍. #PhotoHour #MacroHour #BloomScrolling
- Been getting some good rain so the garden was looking lush this morning. On the opposite side of the driveway, starting to see some sprouts in the area I prepared/seeded last fall (3rd pic). Looks like (and ID app suggests) that's some of the native nodding onion I scattered. #Gardening
- Side project I've got going on. Bit of a mess 🚧. Flat stone was already there buried under vegetation. The rest was found on the property. Someone mistakenly planted hostas there in full 🌞, ☠️. Moved those to shade. Violets were in situ. Prairie coneflowers are from scattered seeds. #Gardening
- Last fall I began collecting seeds from our restored prairie along the local trails/parks. A favorites natives is prairie coneflower (likely Ratibida pinnata, likely 👇 seed pods). I've seeded some out back. Got some nice clusters but you'll have to wait to see the flowers 🙁 #PhotoHour
