- Honestly I had flaked on getting tickets and then forgotten about it, and then some tix fell in our lap today from people who didn't want to go out in the rain. And my assessment post-show is that they fucked up big time.
- People are treating this like it's a strawman, and man it is absolutely gaslighting to tell anybody who's seen left leaning housing discussions that they are only imagining the dozens upon dozens of people literally claiming that investment firms buy up homes and leave them empty to profit.
- It’s like a weird game of half- understood headline mad libs, they think it’s Blackrock instead of Blackstone, they’re remembering a story about like Russian money laundering and transferring it over to private equity, just tcot level stuff
- The Blackrock/Blackstone thing in that conversation is always a huge tell, like ohhh I know who you are ...
- I was not fully prepared for how good a guitar player he is. Also they played the best version of China Doll I've ever heard and I listen to the Dead a fair amount, for better or worse.
