- What do you think about the ethics of using your family as a push for getting a promotion? I genuinely don’t want to, because I’d prefer to get one on my own merit, but that $4 pay raise and full time benefits (especially that health insurance with my 26th birthday coming up) makes it tempting.
- For context, my mom worked with a woman in the 90’s that just so happens to be the head of this department in corporate. I know this woman would still recognize her due to the fact that when she found out what store my mom was at, she forced management to put her in that department on store level.

- Education is still my dream job despite getting talked out of it for financial reasons, so to watch it slowly crumble just hurts in a way that I don’t fully know how to explain. These kids don’t deserve what’s coming. The most vulnerable among them will feel the strongest impact.

- My job’s anonymous surveys can only be taken by logging in to with your employee ID but I just tell them to give us more hours so our customers can get the help they need so if they want to yell at me idc
- At my job, they want us to push for 10’s, but don’t do what, in my and my regulars’ opinions, would allow for that to happen (ie proper staffing and decent prices) Corporate will actually punish us if we’re under 75% so that’s fun 🤪

- All I can think about right now is my AP lit class my junior year of high school. There were 8 of us, and I remember us doing our best to console a classmate.
